Accident Summary

PRELIMINARY: A backcountry tourer was caught in a "large" avalanche on the south face of Mount Stanton, in Glacier National Park. Companions located the victim by voice, and provided first aid. The victim has experienced "severe trauma" during the avalanche, and died during the rescue operations.
