Accident Summary

At approximately 6 AM on March 12, 2019 a natural avalanche released and hit a residence with 3 people inside. The occupants were rescued and taken to a medical facility. The house was destroyed in the avalanche.

From Hinsdale County website, " Hinsdale County Sheriff Justin Casey's home on CR 30 was hit by an avalanche early this morning. Everyone who was involved has been located and evacuated. Injuries are being assessed and treated."
