Snowpack Observations & Tests
Key Observation:
Specific Wet loose avalanche activity on northerly aspects. Failure was consistently observed at the interface between old, harder snow (1F-P hardness) and new, moist storm snow (4F-F hardness). New snow depths ranged from 20–30 cm.

(BTL) – North Aspect:
Two crust layers noted:
2 cm crust at 17 cm depth
2 cm crust at 55 cm depth
Water percolating to the 55 cm crust on solar aspects

(NTL) – North Aspect:
ECTN24 @ 20 cm down (HS 220 cm)

(NTL) – East Aspect:
ECTX
HS 250 cm

Key Observation:
The primary concern during this observation period was wet loose avalanche activity on northerly aspects, driven by poor bonding at the old/new snow interface. Likely due to the HST from 20250329 being insulated by the HST from 20250330. Sky cover throughout this period ranged from SCT-OVC.
p[pWet snow was actively percolating through the upper snowpack, particularly on solar aspects at lower elevations.
