Toured up to Montgomery Bowl for a quick up and down on low angle slopes. A few inches of new snow had fallen and snow was increasing in the PM. Winds were moderate creating increasing blowing snow throughout the mid-day. Skies were overcast to obscured. Visibility got worse throughout the day. The snow in the bowl was punchy and ok ski and ride quality as to be expected with the weather. The snow developed signs of slab creation the higher you went with some minor cracking and collapsing observed off the skin track ascending the bowl. Ski conditions improved near treeline with softer snow. The main trail skied wonderfully with the new snow but below timberline still need cautious skiing in timber where coverage is still thin.
