Report Information
On Saturday, March 8, 2025, two groups of snowmobilers were riding near Kebler Pass. They noticed an avalanche with tracks in the area. They weren't sure if anyone was involved. They used a satellite communication device to call for help before searching the debris field with their avalanche rescue transceivers and avalanche probe poles. A helicopter from Care Flight of the Rockies was dispatched to the scene. The riders determined that nobody from either of the two groups was missing. Crested Butte Mountain Rescue stopped their response. Care Flight of the Rockies captured a few images of avalanches in the area before returning.
Earlier in the day, this group was involved in this Accident. https://avalanche.state.co.us/report/383257ea-dd44-42c6-b51f-39d2fc48c2b9
