Report Information
We saw several point releases on solar aspects (mostly D1, on E, W and SE aspects) and observed fresh debris from a small cornice fall on a SE aspect from Mt. Braddock. We did not encounter any other real signs of instability and skied a few inches of fairly dense but soft warm pow atop a firm base. We were not able to trigger any slabs jumping on small test slopes on various aspects. The surface snow appeared to be bonding well. We did observe some surface hoar on shaded surfaces in the morning, but by afternoon it was largely being replaced by a developing zipper crust after the warm day.
We toured from the winter trailhead for Lake Agnes up into the Lake Agnes cirque and skied the lower-angle terrain below Lake Agnes Bowl proper on northeasterly to westerly aspects.
