Accident Summary
Three skiers descended the Silver Couloir on Buffalo Mountain, close to Silverthorne. Close to the bottom, Skier 1 descended the left side of the Couloir, which was untracked and faced a little more easterly. After two turns, Skier 1 was caught by the avalanche he triggered and knocked off his feet. He was carried approximately 200 feet and was on the surface of the snow when it stopped.
