Parked at the top of Berthoud Pass toured up the near treeline set a track through the trees to investigate for rocks. Most places were boot top to knee deep of soft snow. As we neared treeline and moved above the snow surface became more wind affected and ski penetration became a few centimeters. Skiied from the radio towers along the powering back to the parking lot.
