Observation Summary

On the skin up from the bottom of banana bowl to the entrance of Dragontail, there was small shooting cracks of wind slab breaking 1-2 inches deep, and shooting 1-2 feet wide. This was on NE aspects. Near the entrance of Dragontail, there was a significant amount of new snow being actively transported into the entrance of the couloir from the winds overnight and current 20-25 gusting 40+mph winds. There was a 1-2 ft hanging cornice at the top that was consolidated / hard pack at the top and N side when poked. The entrance was downclimbable with crampons and an axe but the slope below had too much new snow transported and looked too wind affected to be skied. We rode soft, wind drifted slopes down banana bowl back to the trail, which was more enjoyable than anticipated.
