Report Information

Observation Summary

Evidence of a pretty substantial natural avalanche cycle in the area up to D3 in size. The biggest one I spotted today broke over a 1/4 mile wide across most of the face of Mud Peak, and ran 200 vertical feet to with a few hundred feet of the quarry road. Many slopes went early in the loading event and bed surfaces were largely or completely filled back in. I suspect there are many avalanches we will not know about as the evidence is now obscured by feet of additional snowfall after the event.
