Observation Summary
Wet, sun affected snow on all aspects at 11,000'. There was recent loose wet avalanche activity in the area that most likely occurred in the afternoon of 4/7.
Area Description
Central Sawatch zone near Independence Pass, below tree line.
Route Description
I skied up HWY 82 beyond the seasonal closure to the base of Beeler Grade.

I saw two small (D1) loose wet avalanches on east facing, steep, rocky terrain below tree line.
