Party of 2 ascended from Copper side, south of Y chute with intent to drop K chute. Traversed across to top of K chute and saw another party of two above the entry. Allowed time for them to ski down and when we dropped around 2:00PM we observed the crown of a wet slab running to the ground about 100ft wide and approximately 3-4 feet high. Avalanche broke from the ground and ran all the way down the chute. Skied down the shallower skiers left side above the debris and turned beacons in search. Did not pick up a signal and arrived at the bottom safely and guy from the other party of two said they found two matching skis about 400yds apart. He called 911 and SCRG arrived on scene and confirmed nobody was buried.
