Avalanche
Caught in an avalanche
A skier triggered and skied out of an avalanche on a northeast-facing slope near treeline north of Chair Mountain on Saturday, March 8. He was the second skier on the slope and aired off a cornice, landing on the slope and triggering the avalanche as he landed. The skier kept his speed up and skied off the avalanche without being knocked over or dragged down the slope.
