Report Information

Observation Summary

4 inches at the trailhead and around 8 inches in the alpine. The snowpack near and below treeline remains hollow and faceted. Above treeline the new snow sits on old hard surfaces. As of noon on Thursday, the new snow was not slabby, but westerly wind was drifting snow onto east slopes, loading snow just below ridgelines and building small cornices. Old ski tracks were set up under the new snow, and you could feel them on the descent.
