Report Information
Observation Summary
On 4/20/25 at approximately 11:15 am, my ski partner triggered a wet slab avalanche on an almost directly S facing slope in the West Wishbone. It seems that they triggered it near a shallow area of the snowpack. I witnessed it from above. The slide occurred near the bottom of the couloir. We started our day at 6:30am to beat the warming and the sun, we were fully transitioned just before 11am to ski and still managed to trigger a slide. My ski partner was able to ski out of it without getting caught.
Route Description
Slide occurred in the West Wishbone Couloir in Molas Pass, towards the base of the couloir.
