After leaving the face and entering the trees, on about 30° terrain partner made a hard turn causing a shooting crack about 30ft long about 10 ft above turn.

Followed Ohwiler Ridge up from Snowslide campground. Skied the north open face below exposed rocks on the ridge. Face was facets ~12-15in deep.
