Report Information
Observation Summary
I went to check out a recent human-triggered avalanche. The avalanche occurred in the same path where a skier died in 2001, and near where a skier broke their leg in 2000. This avalanche broke deeper and ran further than the fatal 2001 avalanche. It released on the December drought layer (facets) between 2 and 5 feet deep, averaging around 3 feet.
