Observation Summary
Began ascending Hopeful Couloir around 11am. A brief shower of pinwheels came down, shortly followed by an avalanche that we had to scurry out of the way of. As best we can tell it was a large wind slab near the top of the couloir that released, though we didn’t see any signs of wind loading prior to attempting to ascent
